Fright Night (2011

Now before I go on talking about Fright Night (2011) I have to admit I haven't seen the original. I might possibly make another post taking a look at both, but for now I'm just looking at this recent one as it's own movie and not a remake.  Now that I got that out of the way the first thing I have to say about this movie is that it is terribly forgettable. While the actors performances were actually pretty entertaining the pacing and story is a bit bland. 10 minutes in and Ed (Basically Mclovin again except with a bit more balls) straight out tells the main character his neighbor is a vampire. Now I'm not saying it was a horrible choice. You get to see the main character have to come to grips with what is going on next door in more depth, but that just struck me as off. From there its basically Kid watches neighbor, neighbor notices, kid breaks into neighbors house to confirm his suspicions, neighbor blows up his house.
Classic vampire move.
Then from there it's sort of a blur. There's the whole driving thing that eventually goes nowhere, then at Peter Vincent's Mansion...Oh did I forget to mention him? Sorry I just couldn't remember because he's in the movie for about 5 maybe 10 minutes tops. Sad actually cause his character was pretty good. Just think washed up (well more washed up)Chris Angel with a sad shoe horned in back story. Where was I..oh the blurry 3rd act. From the mansion it goes to a random club for  no other reason other than to split up the main character and the love interest and give him one last motivation to fight instead of run away like a smart person by turning his girlfriend into a vampire.  Peter Vincent pulls out a deus ex machina steak that will turn everyone turned by the head vampire back to normal...Because MAGIC. One last battle occurs and then it ends.

My final thoughts- Even though it isn't a great film it does entertain you. The performances are pretty good. Some of the humor is pretty good, and some of the more tension filled parts had some actual tension. If the second half of the movie was as good as the first I'd recommend you go see it in theaters,  but it isn't so I wont. Maybe pick it up when it comes out on DVD if you feel like it.

Batman The Dark Knight Rises

So if you haven't been on a forum where nerds/geeks frequent, then it's possible that this news has passed you by. The villains who're going to be in the new Batman movie are Bane and Catwoman. The casting for it has been released to be Anne Hatheway and Tom Hardy who Christopher Nolan has worked with on Inception.

Of course Christian Bale is gonna be batman and for some reason they have Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the list of cast, but they don't show who he is playing. Some people are saying he will possibly be playing robin, but no official news has been released. The only couple things I don't like about this set up is Catwoman. I mean it is possible that I can be surprised, but I just don't see it happening. The other thing is batmans voice...it's become a joke in itself so I don't really have to explain. The whole grown up robin thing is a bit weird too, but I can see it working out to be cool. Either way I can't wait for it to come out on 7/20/12.  source

The Fountain, The Runaways, and Moon

The Fountain is a movie written and directed by Darren Aronofsky.
The story is broken up into 3 different time periods (1500's,2000, and 2500) Where one man seeks eternal life from the tree of life. I will admit I couldn't really wrap my head around some of it, and will probably have to sit down and watch it again, but that's kinda why I think it's great. It doesn't sit you down and baby you the story.

The Runaways is a story based on the story of an all girl rock band started by Joan Jett back in the mid 70's. It shows the rise and fall (due to drugs) of the band. I kinda thought going into the movie that it was gonna be chickflickish, but it turned out to be not that bad of a movie, and I started listening to the actual band after finishing.

I would put the trailer up, but I'm afraid it reveals too much of the story so meh. Moon is a story about a single worker who has to harvest resources on the moon for 3 years before he gets to come home and see his wife and kid. 2 weeks from his release he finds out that something is wrong and tries to figure out what exactly is going on. This film is brilliant be sure not to pass it up.

Guess who's back

omg I'm so excited
So yeah I haven't moved quite yet, but I have got the internet back (thank god). I've been working on my livestream channel so that it runs movies 24/7 and unless you sit up and watch it for a straight 48 hours you won't see the same movie/show twice. So feel free to drop by there and watch for free. Also if you have any suggestions for movies to stream just put it in the comment or ask for my aim.
For those of you that have been living under a rock. Minecraft is a sandbox game with no real objection, goal, or ending, but fuck is it fun. I've been playing this game for about a week and a half now and it's still as exciting as the day I picked it up.  Now I know some of you are thinking that you've seen clips and picks of the game and it doesn't seem all that awesome am I right? Well fuck your shit. Grab a demo or buy this shit and see for yourself. Also Don't forget to set up a home before dark ;). Nobody decided to tell me that they come at night and scare the befuckingjesus out of you. First day I play it I'm gathering shit for an Awesome mountain side fort when outta nowhere the sun sets within 5 seconds of warning. I get creeped out and start walking towards my future stronghold when out of nowhere I hear moaning and see a creeper....Needless to say I screamed like a little girl and ran.
By the time I saw the glimmer of hope I called my house there was a spider and a creeper waiting for me. I shat a brick and didn't play for a couple hours.

As for movie Recommendations/Ratings I haven't watched any new new movies in awhile so I'll have to pass this time, but I swear I'll get back to the regular schedule of doing a review each night.

Black Swan

Black Swan is a  movie starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, and Winona Ryder. Directed by Darren Aronofsky who also directed Requiem for a Dream, Pi, The Wrestler, etc *That should be reason enough to watch it*. The story is about Nina a young ballerina that gets the head roll in 'Swan Lake'. Since she has to play both roles (the white swan and the black swan) she has to learn not to act prude and perfect. The transformation from one roll to the other plays out into her life at home and her psyche. I would go into a further detail, but I don't want to ruin it. Go see it believe me it's brilliant.

New Channel

So i'm starting a new channel on livestream. It's mostly gonna just be me streaming movies and  tv shows, but trying to have random youtube clips constantly on so that people could tune in and watch random shit until I stream a movie. Only have about 2 hours of clips to stream so I'll just wait till I have like 24 hours worth of clips so it's always different.
